We’ve made it one week home with Colette. Thought about having a 1 week graduation party… for Colette’s parents. Ashley is a really wonderful mom, and we’ve been thankful to have Grandma (MeMe?) over for a couple nights to help Colette sleep at night – it’s been a fun adventure so far. Enjoy the pix.
Mondays are nice at our house. After her first night home (not a ton of sleep), Colette spend her first day getting to know the surroundings and animals, furniture, routine (hopefully?) and people who are a part of our home. Also she learned that she has to play the piano… it’s grand.
My twitter status read: “On mothers day normally I pick up a card… maybe flowers… today I’m picking up a mother and a new baby… I’ve really outdone myself this year.” It was a great day – we were discharged from Huntington Hospital and returned around noon just Church was letting out. Born May 6th at 2:30PM at 7lbs, 9oz and 20 inches. We could not be more thrilled to welcome baby Colette to our Family.
Our two dogs have no sense of personal space. Seriously it’s like they are connected at the hip.
I once promised myself that I wouldn’t ever rock this look… but the weather has forced me to make regrettable fashion compromises.

Yeah, i’m trying to learn how to take pictures – here are some random shots of our house at night… and I’m sure I didn’t annoy Ashley at all by taking 143 pictures of here trying to get some projects done… our house decorations didn’t mind either.
My Monday musings are full thoughts about Daniel (I’m teaching the book in Sunday School) but mostly of gratitude for brave teenagers who stand out for the gospel in world where Christian conviction is frowned upon. – Here some of the strands that are making up my mental tapestry of young people who are taking a stand.
