Are Weekend Sports Making Religion Obsolete?

Hmm… Long Island Press with a main article on religion and sports… Check it out. I wish the cover art was more respectful, but it’s a very interesting take people who put sports before Jesus.

Nayyat wrote the author a letter talking about her faith in Jesus. – I thrilled that Long Island Press may publish her strong witness for the worship of Jesus.

    So true. I remember growing up that my sister’s weren’t even allowed to play softball on Wednesday’s let alone Sundays. I’m convinced that youth sports is becoming more of an opportunity for the parents to live their dreams through their kids. I wrote a whole research paper on the violence in youth sports…all of which, was instigated by the parents.

    I would be interested in reading Nayyat’s letter if you had it. Thanks for the giving me something to read….
