This season there are more people in need than ever. I've heard from lots of you about neighbors who are missing VA benefits, or food supplies with the government shut down. The church office phone has been ringing with folks who are in need. And I wanted to let you know what our church does to help, and how you can get involved - first the why:
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." (James 1:27)
Real faith always shows up in real life. When we feed the hungry, we're not just doing good—we're showing that our faith is alive.
This Sunday is First Sunday – our monthly food and supply collection day. Here's how you can make a difference:
The Stop Hunger Project
Bring non-perishable food items to Sunday services. All donations go directly to CROS Ministries, which serves local food pantries throughout Palm Beach County.
This Week - the Most Needed Items:
- Beans, canned vegetables, and canned fruit
- Pasta, rice, and boxed mac & cheese
- Peanut butter, canned meat, and soup
- Tomato sauce and canned spaghetti
Bags of Hope
We also collect travel-sized personal care items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) for our homeless and displaced neighbors. These bags are distributed through The Burrito Project to the homeless population.
The Benevolence Fund
If you prefer to give financially, donations help our deacons provide direct assistance to families in crisis.
Your generosity demonstrates God's love in the most practical way. Let's fill our collection areas this Sunday and show our neighbors they're not forgotten.

Thanks for being a part of what God is doing here.
